Outreach August 28th

Last week we had roughly 10-12 people who came to do outreach. This week our numbers fell short and we only have one going out.
Pray that we have more workers of the field and that our team is not descouraged from going out to witness!

Payden – Did not understand what repentance meant. Says that he was a Christian yet now is not one and claims to be agnostic. Says that Christianity is one of many religions yet sees that God wants his heart and that from the heart God sees the sin.

Elder Hill – Shared with him my testimony and explained to him what idolatry was. Hill had never known or had even understood the concept of idolatry.

From Evangelism Class

Irene – please pray for her as family have been attacking her and numerous times she has had discouragement for being a believer. After class potluck her car broke down, the radiator was cracked. We only found out the next day as a driver felt sorry for her and had her car towed.

Pray that Irene would be encouraged!!

The New Launch

Hey Everyone!

We wanted to tahnk all of you who prayed for us as well as all of you who went out to witness the gospel! Praise God we found the new change worked with everyone and we had energy to “go out there” as a team!

Next outreach is this Saturday on 8-28-10. We will be doing them faithfully each week.

Prayer Requests

Caleb – Raised in a Christian home but left it behind. Donna shared the gospel and her testimony and felt the Holy Spirit may be drawing him back.

Sylvester – Homeless – professed faith, but didn’t seem sure about where he would spend eternity. Melanie shared scripture with him and had him read verses and asked what it meant to him. We are not sure if he is saved. He needs a job and a home.

Kevin – Came up while Donna was talking to Caleb. Kevin also professed faith, but we don’t think he is saved. He heard the gospel as it was shared with Caleb. He denies the trinity and is into Pentecostal Oneness.

Ravi and Edger – from India. They professed Hindu faith, but only nominally. Donna shared the gospel with them and gave them a gospel of John to take with them. They were both very interested and seemed close to salvation.

Tracy talked with a young man who was VERY resistant. We did not get his name.

Jonathan – hurt ex-Catholic teenager. His father passed away and Jonathan spent hours trying to argue that Christianity was relative to all other faiths and that Jonathan believed that God didn’t care about him. Jonathan (J) left him pretty upset over his false beliefs about God. Pray that God would change his heart towards the gospel and God’s grace for him as a both a hurting human and a sinner.

Upcoming Events

Evangelism Potluck – This August 26th @7:00 PM Calvary Chapel Aurora (tomorrow). Please call Jonathan if you wish to attend.

Evangelism Summit – TBA in early October. Mark your calendar this will be a great event!

NOTE – If you are involved in a local outreach this or next month please let us know so we can add it to our online list of events.

Site Under Construction

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to 16th Street Outreach!

We are a community of Bible-believing Christians who believe that Jesus Christ is God and that we are all sinners who need his loving gift of the Gospel in order to be saved!

If you are not certain if you need Jesus, and believe you are a good person, please click here.

For those of us who are new to this site but our evangelists, please feel free to edit your profile picture to something people can recognize and expect to see our outreach information for our team soon.

Amazingly we are not ashamed of the gospel, according to many American Churches who are fearful of persecution. We are also not a cult and allow anyone to see how we assemble and govern our non-denominational community as we have nothing to hide as believers in Jesus Christ!
